April 8, 2006 AIDS Talk at a YMCA Workshop On the 8th of April 2006 at a YMCA workshop, Doctors for Life was requested to do and interactive presentation on abortion to the regional team. Approximately forty (40) young adults, between the ages of 20 to 22 years, attended the workshop. On arrival we were welcomed and invited to join the group for lunch where we met the regional team coordinators. Promptly after lunch, the session was re-started, and with immediate participation for the workshop group, numerous issues were identified. Where does life begin? What are my rights? A) As the Mother. B) As the Father. C) in Society. What is the law? Can I refuse as a doctor to do abortions? What are the consequences of abortion and what does the Bible say? Questions, answers and opinions flowed for the next hour and a half, at which point time ran out, but a wealth of knowledge had been shared. Many questions and issues could not be addressed but may be next time. There is only one truth. What we decide to do with what we learn is our choice. Knowledge empowers us and truth is our best defense.
