Doctors For Life International

March 20, 2006
Table Display at University of Kwazulu-Natal (Durban).

It once came to many people’s attention to invite Doctors for Life International for different issues. This came after DFL had been invited by one of the students studying in the University of KwaZulu Natal in Durban. Zakhele saw the need of inviting DFL after being touched by the way these young people behaved in regards to relationships, substance abuse, pornography and abortion. We (Nonhlanhla, Rachael and Martus left on the 12th of March for this display which was going to take five days.

The display was put up on the first day and seemingly many people were touched by the picture which shows the child with big sores all over the body. They wondered how this could happen and that’s when we got a chance to explain how these innocent kids suffer from the life their parents has lived. Abortion was also highlighted by big posters that shows the aborted children. It was the first time to many of them to see such pictures. Some of them wept after seeing these posters because they didn’t know what’s actually happen when one is going for an abortion. Many of them didn’t know about aborting being murder until we exposed the whole truth about abortion that leaves you with no peace knowing that you’ve killed your own child. They came with issues like what if you were raped and you don’t know the father of a child and we advised them rather to adopt a child then aborting it. We also put more emphasis on drug as a cause of pornography that leads to rape and unexpected pregnancy starting by smoking and other drugs that always follow once you’ve started by taking cigarette.

As the week went we got in contact with many students that decided to change their life style and some of them signed a form of being a friend of DFL. Some promised to come and volunteer at DFL for sometime as the Lord leads. Some took details of us wanting us to come to their areas and speak to young people about the reality of these issues. This left us with more courage knowing that there are those that are prepared to change their life style because of what we showed to them. At the first week of May we will be visiting the same University to speak in public about these harmful issues.

With many thanks to our CEO Dr A van Eeden for making this outreach possible for us.
