During the month of May, Doctors for Life International and 11th Hour were honored with a visit from three very special people from the USA. Professor Pat McEwan, who heads up Life Coalition, David Lackey who specializes in counseling abortionists and abortion clinic Staff, and Luther Laitte IV, who is completing his Pharmaceutical degree. During their visit they shared a wealth of knowledge, gained through practical experience in pre and post abortion counseling, with pregnancy crisis counselors, medical students, 11th Hour counselors and many who represent and revere the Sanctity of Life. Besides conference presentations, talks and workshops held at various venues, the team went on a clinic outreach with the 11th hour team to offer practical advice and example to old and new members alike. Two radio stations also took the opportunity to interview them. Professor Pat McEwan is seen by many as the catalyst that enabled Dr Albu van Eeden’s dream, which was to establish a team of counselors who would assist woman who were facing a crisis pregnancy or who were living with the consequences of abortions, to come to fruition. Once again Professor Pat and her team brought many tools to the table which will assist everyone who is involved in the struggle to protect and nurture the lives of the child and mother in this critical issue. Many new friendships were established and we look forward to having the entire team return in the near future.
