June 01 , 2007 Workplace AIDS Program (WAP) Course At Pannar Seed
Walking around blindfolded on the well-kept grounds of Pannar Seeds was probably the last thing the 9 new Peer educators expected when they commenced the 10 day training course!
The Doctors for Life International trainers exposed the students to a wide variety of topics, preparing them for their role as value based leaders in their respective units. These topics included: AIDS, communication, facilitation, leadership, substance abuse, problem solving and the value of building family values into the lives of fellow.
The CEO of Pannar Seeds, Mr Deon van Rooyen, “popped in” during the course and encouraged the group, promising them the support of the top management.
