Aid to Africa has adopted a new design that is more cost effictive for the clinic in Zavora, Mozambique. It is also much easier to build and allows to use local material in rural areas. This sanitary unit (clinic) accommodate doctors examination rooms, a maternity unit, have storage rooms for medical supplies while providing sufficient waiting areas for patients. Due to the extreme heat in some tropical areas, a shaded open plan waiting area is included in this design. Running costs for these clinics are high and donation will be appreciated.
