To prevent, in a pro-active way, individuals from being infected with the HIV-virus by emphasising adult value systems, informing with facts and the acquiring of critical life-skills. By informing individuals of vital information about HIV/AIDS you enable them to make an informed decision regarding lifestyle and behaviour change.

DFL has supported this approach since 1991 that is now increasingly being promoted world-wide (as well as by the World Health Organisation) in contrast to the questionable non-directive condom-based programs, which were previously regarded as the correct approach.

The outreach to Newcastle: AIDS presentations in schools
Once again it was a great pleasure to see the doors open in the needy communities. One of DFL's friends who is originally from Holland, Fiestra, have been working in this area for many years and and invited us to come and present the AIDS talk to different schools.
